When I first saw the new digital lines of papers, I KNEW I had to have at least SOME of them!! I LOVE anything "office-y" that i can incorporate onto/into my layouts and projects. The ledger papers are absolutely wonderful, with nice variety for scrapbookers and other paper artists. What can I really say about the correspondence lines? they're AMAZING and I LOVE them! I have so many ideas of what I will/would like to do with these images. I'm going to show you what I did with a couple.
People often ask me how I put some of my layouts together, how I piece it all together for the finished project. I thought I'd present to you a "show & tell" using a couple of the pieces from the digi lines.
I've also taken the liberty and showing you a couple more of the layouts I completed using these fantastic images! feel free to ask any questions you may have!
TFL and ENJOY!
"metamorphosis"
It's easy to print the digi images onto paper. I printed mine onto 81/2 x 11 cardstock and cut around the edge, giving me this beautiful paper to use in a hardcopy layout versus a digital.
I placed my photo about halfway onto the paper, leaving the left side of the photo overhanging into "thin air" (just for now!)
I positioned a transparent frame onto my photo, a tad off centred, giving it a bit more interest and visibility.
I added a few smaller photos along the right side edge.
I cut some butterflies from a piece of pattern paper. I used vintage stamens for their antennae.
I added a few more butterflies into the "space".
I sewed a paper frame onto the layout "framing" off the smaller photos to the right side of the layout.
I added a small strip of Hambly overlay behind the frame on the right side to support the frame and then added a rub-on quote and a couple more butterflies. I then added another piece of printed paper from the "correspondence" line on the left side, "grounding" the layout.
the almost completed layout. All that's left is the title.
Here's a few close-up views...
The COMPLETED layout
that's it for the SHOW & TELL!
Now here's a couple more layouts using the digi paper printed!
"REMEMBER to remember"
"Life Whispers"
For this layout, i used 2 different "ledger" papers, the "orange 8x8" and a piece from the "correspondence" line.
