yipee! i finally got it...
after much argument, swearing and frustration... i finally got my new dslr. i love it! i shall call her... gwendolyn after my favorite rocker chick, gwennie-gwen-gwen stefani. after all, gwen is fresh, hip and happening; she's high-tech, high fashion and street smart; she's compact, knows how to accessorize and is a bit of a diva. the perfect name for my new dslr canon rebel xti LOL! =)
yes people, i know i'm a little insane. but come on, if you can't name your favorite camera, what can you name?
so the lulu pic... she perched. i shot. ironic how miss 'i-love trouble' chose to perch in front of a favorite sid dickens tile entitled 'innocence' isn't it? lol! love that. and honestly, the lighting at home bites. my pics in the low, ambient lighting are only so-so, being pretty warm and amber in colour. also, since i'm photographing a moving kitty without a flash, the colour and blur is a bit challenging lol! i look forward to really testing it out tomorrow at lunchtime.
in a bid to improve my health and general well-being, my friend and co-worker kathy will be taking me out for an 'airing' and we'll be going for a 2km walk on the dyke. i will be taking gwen. at least this way i can lose weight and take pics at the same time =)
oh... pics of the artwork on my living room wall are below. all of these are my original works. don't they look cool hung up as an art installation [if i do say so myself]? almost real, live gallery wall. i love it! the best part is, that as pieces sell, i can replace them with new work so the block of art will be constantly changing and evolving! so cool...
